Hangar 1 at Moffett Federal Airfield
Planetary Ventures, a Google subsidiary, has restored Hangar 1 at Moffett Federal Airfield – preserving a landmark that has shaped the Silicon Valley skyline since the 1930s.
Working in partnership with CBRE, we provided comprehensive project controls and commercial management for this complex historic restoration. Our role included budget oversight, procurement and risk mitigation, helping the project stay on track for completion in December 2025.

Developing the pioneering nuclear project Hinkley Point C with EDF.
Hinkley point c
Hinkley Point C is a major nuclear power station currently under construction in Somerset. Once complete, it will provide clean energy to six million homes for 60 years and offset nine million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
We’ve supported this vital low-carbon energy project since 2011. In 2015, EDF appointed us to lead project controls. They renewed our contract at the end of 2025, allowing us to continue providing project management, controls and commercial expertise.
Beyond cutting carbon, the plant brings tremendous economic value to the country. It currently supports 3,800 UK suppliers and will create 71,000 jobs by completion. Furthermore, EDF has invested £24mn in local education to support 8,000 trainees and 1,320 apprentices.
"Turner & Townsend have been a key embedded contractor and supplier for us since we started the Hinkley Point C project. They supply very skilled candidates across lots of different disciplines, such as supply-chain, project management [and project controls]. We’ve had a longstanding 10-year framework in place since 2025.
That’s led to a very successful and transparent relationship."

Developing Abu Dhabi's first Natural History Museum with Miral
NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM ABU DHABI
The Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi opened in November 2025 – bringing rare specimens and research facilities to the Saadiyat Cultural District. We helped to deliver this 35,000 sqm space by providing pre- and post-contract cost management services.
Our team handled cost estimation, tender evaluation and billing. We managed the commercial risks of continuous design changes and specialist procurement. This included assessing variations for more than 20 sub-contractors and preparing tender documents for 19 provisional sum packages.
Sustainability was a core focus throughout the project. The construction approach prioritised energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. Today, the museum supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals through public education and innovative research into areas like marine biology, zoology and earth sciences.
“Turner & Townsend’s diligent monitoring and attention to detail have contributed to effective cost management throughout. Your collaboration with other team members has played a significant role in managing key cost risks and the overall progress of the project.”

Establishing a robust project controls framework with MTA.
MTA Project Controls
We're working with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to standardise project controls for North America's largest transportation network. To support evolving infrastructure needs, the MTA is delivering a US$65bn capital plan between 2025 and 2029.
Delivering a programme of this scale needs clear visibility, predictable planning and accurate cost management. We partnered with the MTA Construction and Development team to design an integrated project management framework. This model brings transparency to the capital portfolio and helps leaders make strategic decisions using reliable information.
By providing specialists in risk management, cost estimating and performance reporting, we're helping the MTA deliver consistent results. This unified approach reduces delivery risk and ensures a reliable, accessible and sustainable transit system for millions of New Yorkers.
